About

Randall has been a programming geek since  teaching himself to program at the age of 10 on his dad's commodore 64.  He received a BS in Computer Science from Letourneau University in 2002, and is proficient in building applications in PHP, C++, VB.net and of course in Drupal. 

In addition to being a web developer extraordinaire, friends will tell you Randall is a world traveler and adventurer.  The son of missionaries, Randall has been involved with non-profit humanitarian efforts around the world.  In 2005-2006, Randall took off a year from programming to aid with tsunami relief efforts in Indonesia, serving as a housing construction project manager with Samaritan's Purse International Relief.  Randall and his wife have an interesting "how we met" story - even though they grew up less than 3 miles apart in Texas, they met each other half-way around the world in the Philippines.

Prior to joining Koine Media, Randall was Vice President of Software Development at MBI Systems, a Dallas firm specialized in custom software and web application development related to CRM systems.

Randall is active in the Drupal community and recently participated in Drupalcon 2009 in Washington, D.C.  He resides in Dallas, Texas with his wife Ryanna.

Why Drupal?

I've been a programmer since I learned to walk and have fooled around with lots of different Web CMSes and have even tried to roll my own.  A while ago I decided to try out Drupal and was so impressed with the possibilities of the platform that I started moving all of my stuff over to Drupal.  As I learn more about Drupal and the amazing community that surrounds it, I become more convinced that it is THE future of the internet.
